Why Youth Sports?

Coaches of soccer like other sports need to be well versed in the pillars of the game.  These components for soccer include technique, tactics, physical and psychological aspects of the game. We can not lose site of these components of the game as they are the pillars to soccer.  At the same time, we must remember that we are in the game for the benefit of children.  As an organization that works with children, we have a responsibility to help prepare the youth we work with for life challenges.

The following quotes have been taken from nominations for coach of the year from a local soccer club.  It is the goal of the USA Soccer School of Excellence to embody all of these aspects that parents put value in.

“He also believes that the game and the approach to it should help prepare the boys for life.”

“She instills values as well as skill and made a difference in my son’s life.”

“I could not think of a better role model for my son.”

“It is important to me that they see men who are husbands, fathers, and who spend time with children, so that they will grow up to be the type of men that I want them to be.”

“She does this for the love of the sport and wanting to make a positive influence on young boys.”

“All the parents have respect for this man who has lead each of our boys to a higher set of ideals on the field and in our community.”

“He is absolutely a team player and strives to teach the kids the same.”

“It is my opinion the he is a prime example of the many SAC recreation coaches, who do not receive credit or accolades, but still put in hundreds of volunteer hours every year in order to make a positive difference in the lives of  some kids.

The Soccer Source 360 is an organization that believes Youth Sports serve a great purpose in today’s society.  That is to provide an opportunity for children to have fun while learning life lessons.
